Humanities

I found my passion for the humanities while completing my general education requirements in college. I appreciated the discussion-based approach to learning as a refreshing contrast to the prerequisite science courses at Ohio State. I continued to enroll in humanities courses and to seek out additional academic experiences in related fields, museology and archival studies. By the end of my college career, I had earned enough humanities credits to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in film studies, and formed many strong relationships with fellow students and professors. Penn State College of Medicine's emphasis on the humanities largely influenced my decision to continue my medical education at the institution, and I am looking forward to finding new humanities experiences in State College.
