While patient care and research are important facets of medicine, I value other avenues within the medical field as well, including, volunteerism, activism, teaching, and more. Since entering college, I have made it a point to take part in medical experiences that have helped shape me into a well-rounded doctor-in-training, such as volunteering at La Clínica Latina and joining MAPS. As I enter a new chapter at Penn State, I look forward to discovering new ways of integrating the humanities into my medical career.
